Our Commitments
At ThinkCERCA
We are passionate about empowering all students with the skills they need to thrive in the 21st century. From foundational literacy to advanced critical thinking, our mission is to provide high-quality instruction and academic excellence for all learners.
We believe that students should have the opportunity to learn about themselves and others through engaging and diverse content. We proudly support superintendents and education leaders who are preparing students to be career, college, and civic-ready while also strengthening their ability to communicate effectively in all aspects of life.
To achieve this goal:
- We teach students how to think critically, not what to think, ensuring they can analyze complex information and express their ideas clearly through the CERCA Framework.
- We help create safe, inclusive classroom spaces where students engage in respectful, empathetic dialogue. Civic discourse and understanding different perspectives are key to a thriving community and a healthy democracy.
- We publish research-based curriculum that supports predictable student growth, even when implemented selectively. Educators can curate units or build their own with our Custom Lesson tools, and district leaders can customize or disable library content to fit local needs.
- We support district autonomy: leaders know their communities best. We offer a wide range of lessons and units that can be curated to align with district standards and cultural contexts.
- We partner with districts to develop new, locally responsive materials that honor both community values and the diversity of our global society.
- We uphold instructional integrity through learning-science-backed pedagogy, including evidence-based approaches to history instruction and fostering multiple perspectives.
- We provide professional learning opportunities that empower teams to grow students' literacy skills and civic engagement.
